  • What should I expect at my first appointment?

Patients should come prepared with their active insurance card and photo ID. If the patient contract has not already been filled out prior to the appointment, patients should arrive 10-15 minutes early to fill out necessary paperwork. Most initial appointments will be scheduled with the nurse practitioner and doctor to gain some patient background information and create an individualized treatment plan. Medications may not be prescribed on the first visit and may not be appropriate for all patients. After the initial visit a patient has the option to schedule follow up appointments with Salveo for either medication management or therapy.

If you know you won’t be able to make your appointment time, it is important for you to let the staff know. Email us at to cancel and/or reschedule your appointment. Please note that no-show appointments carry a $75 fee and same day cancellation appointments carry a $35 fee. These fees must be paid before your next visit.

If you are going to be more than 5 minutes late for an appointment with the nurse practitioner, you may be rescheduled to a later appointment time. Please be respectful of the providers and other patients by showing up for your appointment on time.

For therapy appointments, if you are going to be less than 15 minutes late there is no need to call! Simply show up for your appointment. Please note that your appointment time may be shorter in session due to your tardiness.
