  • What should I expect at my first appointment?

Patients should come prepared with their active insurance card and photo ID. If the patient contract has not been filled out, patients should arrive 10-15 minutes early to complete the necessary paperwork. Initial appointments are usually scheduled with the nurse practitioner and doctor to gather background information and create an individualized treatment plan.

Medications may not be prescribed on the first visit and may not be appropriate for all patients. After the initial visit, a patient has the option to schedule follow up appointments for either medication management or therapy.

  • What do I do if I'm going to be late to my appointment?

If you know you won’t be able to make your appointment time, please let the staff know. Email us at info@salveohealth.org to cancel and/or reschedule your appointment.

Please note that no-show appointments carry a $75 fee and same-day cancellation appointments carry a $35 fee. These fees must be paid before your next visit.

If you will be more than 5 minutes late for your nurse practitioner appointment, your appointment may be rescheduled. Please be respectful of the providers and other patients by showing up for your appointment on time.

For therapy appointments, if you are going to be less than 15 minutes late there is no need to call! Simply show up for your appointment. Please note that your appointment time may be shorter in session due to your tardiness.
